Johnson Family Vacation Review
If you want to watch a really bad movie, watch Johnson Family Vacation. If you want to watch a really unfunny comedy, watch Johnson Family Vacation. If you want to see something even remotely entertaining, watch something else.
Cedric the Entertainer should be sued for false advertising - and forced to change his name. He, along with a cast that includes Vanessa Williams, Bow Wow, Shannon Elizabeth and Steve Harvey, none of which strike much confidence into me anyway, show us what bad acting is all about. Bow Wow is especially bad as the annoying, cliché black teenager.
The plot is your typical road trip movie, except that it lacks anything of interest. Cedric's tricked-out SUV gets attacked by a semi-truck, covered in concrete and goes through various other unfunny incidents. Cedric gets stuck in a Jacuzzi full of fat women, goes to an Indian reservation and picks up a hot hitchhiker (Elizabeth) who turns out to be a witch. The ultimate goal is to get to a family reunion to beat his brother (Harvey) at a variety of yard games. Oh joy!
Johnson Family Vacation truly is a terrible movie, a concoction of random, pointless scenes that make no coherent sense together or individually. Stay clear!
